Alison is a native of Barrie, Ontario. She currently resides in Utopia, just outside of Barrie, with her husband, Glenn, and their family of 5 dogs, 5 horses, 2 cats, and 1 miniature donkey! With nearly two decades of extensive education and practical experience in health, wellness and holistic healing, Alison continues to evolve as a practitioner, seeking new avenues of increasing her knowledge base and improving her practice. Alisonís focus is to aid those on a path to wellness by combining osteopathic techniques, BodyTalk, and energy modalitites, in order to facilitate the pursuit of optimal states of health and wellness.
Alison studied at York University in Toronto, earning her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences, and a Certificate in Sports Therapy. Subsequently, Alison graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Sutherland-Chan in Toronto in 1998, and in 2004 she entered the Osteopathic Program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, completing the extensive five year academia in May of 2009.
Alisonís lifelong love for animals has led her to devote a large part of her practice to the treatment of our furry companions, with a particular focus on horses, dogs and cats. She has found this aspect of her work to be incredibly fulfilling. Her four-legged clients have proven to be very receptive and responsive to treatment.
